The lead up to the cold and flu season requires strong innate immunity to take on the various illnesses circulating through the community during that particular season. For some patients, the cold and flu season can be accompanied by stress and concern around contracting an infection. Providing nervous system support at this time is an integral part of the treatment strategy since increased stress has an impact on immunity.
During an infection, the aim is fighting the illness, but also on symptom management. While after an infection, the emphasis is on rebuilding, recovery and restoration of normal energy levels. It can also be a time when those who have been forced to take extended leave from work may experience low mood related to financial concerns or extended periods of isolation. We are well placed to support our patients through this time.
Resilience is “the core strength you use to lift the load of life.”
