Turmeric is no longer reserved for curries. With its unique but subtle flavour, it’s a versatile spice that can complement all kinds of recipes - including ice-cream! This healthy spin on the sweet stuff uses frozen banana to create that creamy consistency we know and love.
Ingredients:
- 3 frozen bananas, sliced
- ½ - 1 tsp ground turmeric
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch ground cloves
- Pinch ground black pepper
- Sliced banana to serve
- Drizzle of honey to serve
Method:
- Place all ingredients (aside from those to serve) in a food processor or blender and combine until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Divide the mixture between two serving glasses.
- Top with sliced banana, a drizzle of honey and sprinkle of extra turmeric to serve!
