Kira Sutherland is an Australian Naturopath and Sports Nutritionist with more than 25 years in clinical practice. She is the 2019 winner of the Integrative Medicine Award for Excellence in practice (Nutrition/Dietetics) and is the current performance nutritionist for the Sydney Marathon and Running Festival.

Kira divides her time between clients, lecturing at the undergraduate level, and mentoring practitioners of complementary medicine in the application of holistic sports nutrition. Known for her vibrant, straight forward teaching style, Kira’s focus is to empower and educate at a level where information becomes intrinsic knowledge. She is a lifelong athlete herself, participating in endurance sports, providing her with a solid foundation of practical experience to add to her academic and clinical background.

How do I register for the live sessions?

Simply click the “Register Now - Live Session” button above, which will lead you to the Bio Concepts events registration page. Once you have completed the required details in the registration page, you will receive a confirmation email from zoom with a link to access the live webinar (within 48 hours of submitting).  

NB: In order to register for Clinical Concepts Live, you will need a Bio Concepts account. Make sure you are logged in or follow the easy process to create an account on our website. 

How do I access the live webinar?

A link to join the webinar and a calendar invite is included in your registration confirmation email. Once clicked, it will automatically launch the webinar page. Please note, this will not be accessible until the specified date and time of the webinar. We recommend clicking the link a few minutes before the scheduled start time. A digital copy of the PowerPoint presentation will be available for download in the post-webinar email you receive. 

How can I access a copy of the notes before the live webinar?
A copy of the presentation handout which can be used to take notes during the presentation will be sent one day prior to the event via the zoom confirmation email.  
How do I access the on-demand session?

After the live session, access to the on-demand sessions will be available via the events web page. Simply click the “On Demand" button, which will lead you to the Bio Concepts on-demand registration page. Once you have completed the required details in the on-demand registration page, a copy of the recording will appear. Access to the on-demand webinars will be available for only a month. A digital copy of the PowerPoint presentation will be available for download in the post on-demand webinar email you receive. 

Why was I taken to another website when I clicked the register button?

Our webinars are facilitated by a cloud-based platform called Zoom. We’ve found this software to be reliable and easy to use, and we hope you do too!

I registered but I haven’t received my confirmation email?

As the confirmation email will be sent via Zoom, please make sure to check your spam/junk inbox as your email server may have automatically filtered it there. 

I can’t hear the presenter. How do I check my audio and connection?

We recommend joining the webinar a few minutes before it begins to ensure your audio is set up.

Am I eligible to claim CPE points for attending this live/ on-demand webinar?

Yes, you will earn 1 CPE point for the webinar (45-minute online webinar and 15 minutes Q&A time). A certificate will be available for download in the post live webinar email you receive. Please note that if you have registered for the on-demand webinars only you will receive your CPE Certificate after Monday 12noon30th November 2020. 

How do I ask questions during the live webinar?

You can type your question anonymously into the “Q&A” part of the task bar (at the bottom of your screen). Questions will be addressed by our presenter in the Q&A session in the last part of the webinar. The “upvote” function can be used to agree with questions asked by other participants. You can also “raise your hand” to flag your interest in the topic.
